Mike Bixenman

Chairman Emeritus and CTO

I consider myself a blessed and fortunate individual having experienced a highly successful career through collaboration with leading subject matter experts to develop market opportunities that help our clients solve some of their pressing needs. One of those individuals was Kyle Doyel, an entrepreneur who had a lifelong dream of building a successful organization.

I see myself as an opportunist with a high level of curiosity on capitalizing on business opportunities driven by unmet needs resulting from market changes. The opportunity that drove the formation of KYZEN occurred from the gradual thinning of Earth’s ozone layer primarily caused by ozone depleting human-made chemicals. CFC’s, at the time, were the primary materials used by the Defense industry to clean electronic circuitry. This event fostered a collaboration with Kyle to develop environmentally friendly cleaning materials targeted at the electronics industry.

As a continuous learner, my role focused on technology and collaborating with knowledge experts to advance technologies that enabled companies to produce reliable electronics. Magnalytix, LLC, a strategic alliance between STI Electronics and KYZEN Corporation, is one such company with a mission to enable electronics manufactures to produce reliable electronics that withstand harsh climatic environments.

Mike has been active in developing industry standards and has either published or jointly published hundreds of technical papers and presentations that have been given around the world.

Mike holds four degrees including an Associate of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Master of Business Administration, and Doctorate in Business Administration. True to my focus on continuous learning, my doctoral dissertation was on “Leading Open Innovation Across Global Strategic Alliances.” This research was recognized as the Qualitative Study Dissertation of the Year.
