Q: How important are filtration and oil skimming/removal for bath life?
A: Both filtration and oil removal are very important for maximizing bath life. METALNOX M6353 allows the oil to readily separate “split” from the wash solution to facilitate removal.
Q: What type of ultrasonics are best for carbon removal?
A: We are using both 23 kHz and 40 kHz ultrasonics effectively.
Q: Can we expect 100% carbon removal?
A: No. However, M6353 will consistently remove 85 to 95%. Typical blasting times for engine heads have been reduced from 25-30 minutes by the current process to 2-5 minutes using M6353.
