Q: How long did the project take to launch a final product?

A: It took a year and a half, which sounds like a long time, but we typically launch a product in 2-5 years. Once this product was in the experimental phase, it was already being tested and qualified, so that year-and-a-half timeline is actually pretty quick.

Q: What is the preferred bath monitoring process for this application?

A: An online monitoring system, specifically the KYZEN Analyst.

Q: What other process concerns came up during collaborative testing?

A: One of the big concerns was modifying the machines to fit the online monitoring system. It was not compatible with the previous one, so we did have to make some changes. Another concern was black residue we began to see during the trial. That was actually a seal and polymer incompatibility from the machine. We were able to resolve these issues, and we are happy to say the project was a success.
