Q: Is METALNOX M6356 Safe for Multi-Metals?
A: It is. This is something that we do quite a bit of testing in our labs to make sure how a chemistry is going to react with a certain substrate. There are different alloys involved so it is smart to test ahead of time.
Q: How Do I Determine What Specific EH&S Regulations Apply to My Facility?
A: This is a difficult question to answer. Each city’s municipality is different; they all have various law requirements for manufacturing. We always tell our customers that we would be happy to provide SDS sheets and run trials. This data should be presented to their specific governing body and that can be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Q: What is the Average Frequency for Bath Changeout? Is OSP easy to damage?
A: Again, this is a moving target, especially with remanufacturing, where parts that may be on the road for several years. The number of soils, smut, grease, etc. are going to vary. Frequency of Bath Changeout is very specific to the number of soils being brought in for its process.
Q: Where Does KYZEN Develop New Chemistries for Parts-Cleaning?
A: When we approach this from a large industry standpoint, customers come to us and continually state that they have challenges removing soils. At a certain point we look at their issues and see what we can do.
