Q: Is spin coating the only coating method available?

A: No. Other methods, such as dip or spray coating, can be used. Before using a different method, make sure to assess its uniformity and linearity.

Q: What if I can’t use an organic solvent like methanol or hexane?

A: Consider surface modification techniques, such as plasma, or chemical treatment. Also, mixtures of solvents can provide a balance between solubility and surface tension (e.g., IPA + water)

Q: What are the spin coating parameters I should use?

A: It depends on your application, but here is a good starting point:
• 5 mg NaCl/ g solvent
• 500 RPM for 30 seconds
