Stencil Cleaning Series – Part 1

Is your stencil printer costing you money?
– Jody Saultz

Q: How do I know the best chemistry for my printer?

A: Alcohol is for sure not the best one. The first step to finding the best chemistry is to get in touch with your cleaning supplier, they can send you in the right direction.

Q: Are default settings process parameter recommendations from the manufacturer?

A: They are made to change. You will save a lot of money if you spend some time optimizing your settings.

Q: Do engineered solvents clean better than IPA?

A: Absolutely. An engineered solvent will help your printer process compared to the IPA.

Q: Why is it unsafe to use IPA?

A: It is very flammable. It also does not solubilize paste as well as engineered chemistries with paste technology.
